I have a stable running installation of High Sierra on my Asus Z87 motherboard. I'm looking to upgrade to an Asus Prime 270A. My question. Can I take the SSD out of my old system and use it in my new system or must I do a new install of High Sierra? I think I know the answer, I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this?

can use your old ssd installation with your new system.
most likely need to change some settings in your config.plist, as well as redoing any ssdt youre using, and replacing any kexts for audio/lan if they differ from your old board but the HS install itself will work fine

Thanks for the answer. Appreciate it.
