Upgrading Laptop screen to 1080p

Man...

Alright after reading all 57 pages I'm still scratching my head (..sorry) :eek:
From what I gather for a: US 4530s without the secondary graphics card...
I can use a: B156HW01 V.4 (which seems to have the best colors)
or a: LP156WF1(TL)(F3) (in either gloss or matte finish)
along with this: 646274-001 -the 40pin cable needed

Can someone confirm this?

I don't want to get a screen formatted for the wrong region (if that's even possible)!


ALSO! -this might just be a matter of opinion but... gloss or matte?
what's the over all census guys!?

this is not possible, we don't live in times where we used PAL and NTSC :)

if you plan to use it outside then only matte will do but also inside you wont have "mirror" effect also I can recommend the matte one.

Could someone help me with DSDT for BIOS 07 ? The download link in this thread offered only F20 and F0A.

BTW, has anyone bought LCDs from ebay vendor lcd4laptop ?

Anyone tried...

Anyone tried changing BlueKing's HP 4530 installer to include the new DSDT file needed for these monitors?
I'd like to have a USB installer that will work incase I need to reinstall...!
 
Also you can have two or more DSDT's and you can chose at chameleon boot, which one to load.
So you can have a DSDT for the old screen and the DSDT for 1080p in different names in the same directory.
