As you can see in my build signature I have a Radeon HD 5770 graphics card, that works fine.
But as I understand it, it won't work with Sierra or High Sierra.
I am running El Capitan. 10.11.6 now.
I would very much like to update to Sierra or High Sierra.
What would be a decent card to buy.
And do you have any advise to offer when upgrading.

The main reason for the upgrade is to use the latest version of LPX. as well as other programs.

Not sure about High Sierra, but the 5770 should work with Sierra. Have you tried to run Sierra with the card?

If you want to get a new card you can consider the RX 560 (avoid XFX) / RX 570 / RX 580, which is supported in MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and above.

How about this, would his work?

AMD RX 560 4G DDR5

Yes Powercolor is good.
