Upgrading from HighSierra to Catalina failed - can't see any issue why

I'm not sure how. The system does not boot. Is it possible i.e. to see it / mount it in the clover boot screen?

Do you have Windows installed? If yes, you can mount the EFI partition and get access to the EFI folder.

Here it is...

[edit] I just realized that I have two EFI partitions.
EFI on EFI (disk0s1)
EFI on EFI (disk1s1)

could one be the 'original' and one the backup?

Please try with this EFI.

It seems to work. Thank you very much. Would you tell me what you have done?

Installed Lilu, AppleALC, and WhateverGreen.
Removed fake device id for IGPU.
Removed Inject Intel.
Changed system definition to iMac18,3.
Enabled PluginType.

Hi @pastrychef I have two follow up problems since you edited my EFI Folder

1. My Hackintosh keeps restarting if I want it to shut down
2. You cleared up some of the boot options and made the boot process twice as fast (that is great!!) but the boot option for my windows hard drive is gone. Only a "boot from legacy hd" entry is left that unfortunately does nothing if I choose it.

Do you have any suggestion what I can do?

Try adding the following to see if it helps with your shut down.

I didn't make any changes to your Clover boot options. Go to config.plist > GUI to edit what you want to as boot options. You are currently "hiding" Windows.

I'm not sure if I'm doing this the right way as it seems my changes have no effect. Can it be that I manipulate the wrong config.plist file?

- I open the Clover Configurator App
- I mount the EFI folder of my Hackintosh Catalina Partition
- I change something like the checkmark on the "FixShutdown" or I change something in the Theme editor, also removed the config.plist > GUI > hidden windows thing you mentioned above
- I click on save on the bottom left corner of the app
- I unmount the EFI folder
- I reboot

-> the result is: no theme changes, no fix of the shutdown/restart problem, still no windows accessible

Make sure you are mounting the correct EFI partition and editing the correct config.plist.

Make sure you are booting from that EFI partition.
