I've been running the system for several years now, and it's time to update to a new OS X.

I'm dual booting OSX / Win10 on a single drive (separate partitions). I assume I need first to move from Chimera to Clover w/ Yosemite, then upgrade the OS from there. Looking for any tips on this upgrade process. I would be nice to not wipe the drive. I have backup-up the current system with Time Machine, I assume I could restore from there fe necessary.

Thoughts on next steps, previous experience doing the upgrade?

Thx

sclinton: I would highly encourage you to avoid trying to update the OS. You're bound to break something with that big of a jump, and the fact that you're switching bootloaders too will make it more pain than it's worth. Just back up your important files and do a fresh install of Catalina.

Thx, did a fresh install.
