Hello,

I have a hackintosh with the following hardware:
  • MB: Gigabyte B250M-DS3H
  • CPU: i5-6500 3.2 GHz
  • GPU: ATI Radeon HD5870 (1 GB)

It works well on Sierra (never try High Sierra) but it failed to upgrade to Mojave.

This is what I try :
  • Update Clover Configurator (5.3.2.0)
  • Load values in SMBIOS section using iMac 14,2
I try using the Mojave application downloaded from app store and I try using a USB key with a fresh Unibeast installation. None works. It always fails with the following message :

macOS could not be installed on your computer

An error occured while verifying firmware.
Quite the installer to restart your computer and try again.

I also try to upgrade using these clover options :
  • Using SMBIOS for iMac 17,1 and 14,3
  • Disabling SIP (0x67) / disabling SIP partially (0x3)
  • With/without FixShutdown fix in Acpi section
BIOS options looks OK.
I cannot post my config.plist because I'm not on the computer right now. But any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Mojave requires Metal API compatible GPUs, so anything below Intel HD4000/ Nvidia Kepler/ AMD 7xxx Series will not work OOB.

Thank you for the answer. I ended up wiping my SSD and installing it again and it works. Except the graphics where very ugly and the screen resolution was really low. So I replace the ATI HD5870 with a GTX 770 and it works a lot better with Nvidia web drivers. Thanks again.

Try the GTX 770 with native drivers and NO injection.

Or wait for the official web drivers to be released from Nvidia.
Patched web drivers won't work on Mojave.
Your card is listed correctly but there is no acceleration.

Yes indeed the graphics are very laggy, I swap the motherboard for a new one with a newer i5, 24GB RAM instead of 8GB and a GTX 770 instead of an HD5000 but it is more laggy \o/. So I guess there is no graphics acceleration as you said. So I'll have to wait for Nvidia to release the drivers. I hope it will be soon.
