Upgrade motherboard recommendation

Hello guys, I am planning on upgrading to coffee lake.

I am having my eyes on Gigabyte B360M-HD3 and ASUS PRIME B360M-A

Which is better and more compatible with high sierra and possibly mojave ?

I've actually never heard of that board before seeing your post and I read these forums practically every day. Why not go for something a bit more commonly used in these parts such as a Gigabyte Z370 HD3? Seems like you'd find more support in here with a more popular board, which is a bonus when and if things go south. I'd save up a couple of extra $ and skip the "budget" board, especially if you're going to use it for a while..

I would suggest you stay away from B360 motherboards at this time. They contain extra hardware not present on the Z370 motherboards which may cause problems in installing and using.

Consider a H370, or better, Z370 motherboard in the Buyer's Guide.

USB 3.1, I believe. Z370 has no USB 3.1 ports (all are USB 3.0) but B360 has 4. I have heard this may cause problems.

Now I don't have a Coffee Lake system so I can't verify any of this, so if you were to try a B360, I believe many people would want to hear about your experiences on this.

Well if I ended up getting a b360 I will surely post my experience... just still deciding now

The Z370-HD3 is listed in the Buyer's Guide, so it has been tested and known to work with MacOS High Sierra.
