I am running Yosemite on motherboard: Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3 (f10),cpu: Intel i5 2500k, 16gb memory. I am currently using the onboard intel hd graphics 3000 with two monitors. I have been using this machine for 2 years, and it works pretty good. Now I am wondering if it would be possible to put in a asus/evga geforce gtx 760 in this computer and run a samsung 4k monitor with 60hz. Anyone have any experience with this? What should I do to upgrade this? Will the existing Yosemite installation accept the new graphic card without any other work?

You should be able to use gtx 760 but be sure to use GraphicsEnabler=No
The gtx 760 uses a lot of power so be sure your power supply has enough wattage to support it.
Also disable your onboard GPU in your bios.
Make sure your gtx 760 runs okay before attempting to plug in your 4k monitor

Thanks for quick reply! That was really helpful for me. Only have 400w power supply now. I don´t do 3d work or gaming, any tips on any other graphic card that would be able to run 4k and supported by osx? Wouldnt mind if I could find a cheaper graphic card. I would like it to run 2 monitors, one 4k monitor and one hd monitor.
