Hi,

I currently have a High Sierra/Windows 10 dual boot setup here, currently with a Nvidia GTX 960.
I am considering changing my GPU to a R9 in order to update the mac. In this situation, by updating would I need to reinstall Mac, or could I just update it after changing my GPU, without losing data?

Thanks for the help!

I recently went from a GTX 970 on High Sierra to a 5700 XT on Catalina. I removed the Nvidia card and drivers. Installed the new card and updated macOS. Besides one or two different bootargs everything went smoothly.
