The nvidia 9600 gt does not work after the update, what can be done? I've tried a couple of fixes but it's still the same

Apple no longer authorizes nVidia's Webdrivers, beginning with Mojave. The last MacOS supporting nVidia Maxwell and Pascal graphics cards is High Sierra. Either downgrade to High Sierra or install an AMD graphics card (or an early nVidia card, pre-Maxwell). BTW, what is "Unified Shader" architecture?

Your card is not supported on Mojave and later due to lack of Metal support, Apple's graphics framework.

Get a supported graphics card such as GT 710 or RX 570 if you want to run Mojave and later versions.
