Don't update to 10.7.4 as the X58 boards are a bit problematic at the moment.

Stay on 10.7.3 for now.

Before you go back to 10.7.3 can you try this?

If you have a backup of "org.chameleon.Boot.plist" try replacing it or replace the entire "Extra" folder.
If you have not backed up then try to get the "Extra" folder from someone with similar build as yours.
