Update Directly to macOS Ventura

Geekbench is the same for me...

is there a way to do a "FRESH" install of Ventura w/o nuking the EFI?

ah, I see.

so, no way of doing fresh install w/o starting from scratch?

Of course you can.

What EFI do you have already?

I don't remember. I have to boot up the system.

It's been running Monterey just fine. I was hoping I could boot the Ventura installer and just wipe out the osx installation w/o touching the EFI partition.

I have i5 3470s and RX 560. Can I update from Monterey to Ventura?

Hi, I am not sure but I don't think you will be able to update to Ventura.

Your CPU i5-3470S is an Ivy Bridge, and those CPUs have support up to Monterey.

Ivy Bridge CPUs, since they lack of AVX 2.0, are not supported by Ventura.
You can still be able to install it by swapping cache using the one from an M1 firmware. However, after installing it, I think it will not run good and have many problems.

I experienced this having my old i5-3570K, and now I upgraded to i5-10400F.

I also moved from Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H, with i5-3570K and MSI RX 580, to Asus Prime B560-Plus, with that i5-10400F that I was telling and the same MSI RX 580. My build maybe might be useful to you as an Idea, and everything is working under Ventura.

I think that you will be capable to keep that GPU RX 560 you have, as It should work on Ventura.
