Update Clover 5122 to 5141 : can't boot Catalina !

Hello,

I'm on Catalina (clover 5122) and want to go to Big Sur (and much later Monterey).

First I'm updating my clover to 5141 (via Clover Configurator 5.19.0.0, "Package").
(Yet, seem's to me that Opencore is to difficult/taking time (...) ! ).

I've updated, then that happened :

Catalina won't boot anymore.

Is the clover's update the problem ? What's wrong ???

The version of Clover you were running was pre Open Core bits. Clover now has Open Core parts which means you have to update your config.plist correctly and make sure have the correct drivers installed.

If you can put back your old EFI, reboot back in, then erase the EFI folder and install Clover 5141 fresh it will create a basic config file suitable to boot with, then you can tweak it later, the correct drivers should also be installed. Make sure you install the SMC kext though as it won't be installed.
