Interesting. I haven't seen an Elan pad have issues like that in months. Could you post the results of these commands:

$ kextstat |grep -y smarttouch

$ kextstat |grep -y elan

and

$ sudo dmesg |grep -y std

Have you made any configuration edits to the driver's info.plists (corner tap is disabled by default)?

Nope. Im using the kext vanilla.

PS: Shouldn't we start a new thread for this?

A new thread isn't really necessary.

Very strange. I'm also using a V4 hardware Elan trackpad and can confirm that support is generally perfect for this pad, though it looks like your pad is both larger, and has a firmware a few revisions ahead of mine. One last thing I'd like to look at: could you get me an IORegistry dump?

Contact the developer over at OSXLatitude:
http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/user/7370-emlydinesh/

He'll give you a copy of 4.4.5rc which has further V4 Elan improvements, and if that doesn't sort you out, he'll schedule a debug session with you to fix your issues.

Messaged him for the RC.

Attached the IOReg.

The developer asked me to pass you my current internal build. This should have improvements for newer Elan v4 trackpads.

Let me know how this works for you.

I'm not allowed to send PM's cause i'm new.

nope.. two finger zoom in or out mostly is not working, and taking the cursor flying off to some corner.
scrolling pages down is mostly smooth, up is jerky and sometimes makes the cursor flying off! Overall, similar to the previous version..!
