Hi guys,
I'm having a bit of a problem. I've created multiple el capitan usb install usb's (on multiple usb-sticks) using Unibeast(and without Unibeast).
And so far, none of these installer usb's are recognised by my bios. When I mean not being recognised i mean that it is not showing up at all in my bios. The sticks are being detected as bootable by my macbook and they are being detected in Windows (although you obviously cannot acces the device).
What am I doing?
- Erasing and partitioning mac journaled extended guid (even tried master boot record)
- Downloaded OS X El capitan from App Store
- Using Unibeast (uefi as well as legacy mode were tried)
- Using USB 2.0 ports on the back
What I've tried so far:
- Use different USB
- Use different USB-port
- Wipe and reinstall bootable stick
- Update bios
- Use legacy mode in Unibeast
- Use different guides
- Used Master Boot Record
The system i have consists of:
Intel i3-4130
MSI H81m-e34
Samsung 850 evo
8gb Corsair value ram - 1333mhz
I know this motherboard can boot and support os x, as i have seen multiple examples and guides for this motherboard. But for some reason i am having this problem. I included screenshots of my bios (which does not show the bootable usb) and disk utility which also shows that the usb is not bootable.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
cheers
