Unibeast installer hang at [ PCI configuration end ]

This is using Chimera I believe, it's from Unibeast.

Following this link

the table says for HD 4000 mobile the ig-platform-id should be 01660003, which I have seen in verbose boot..

01660003 is the default, but it is not good for all laptops. Most laptops with 1366x768 displays work with 01660003. Laptops with 1600x900 or 1920x1080 displays usually need 01660004 (or more rarely 01660008 or 01660009).

01660004 results in the dsmos has arrived hang, will try 01660008/9 now and update this post on results.

*EDIT* just after posting this, the installer boots. It seems like it will hang for about a minute or two at the dsmos has arrived line then work. Although there does not seem to be any QE/CI for the installer, will that effect the graphics acceleration of the installation?

Thanks for all your help RehabMan,

Thanks for all your help RehabMan,

Also, don't forget you need dart=0 if you can't disable VT-d.

Even with working graphics, the installer environment provides only CE, not QE.

Alright! Installing in the morning, I'm off to bed for the night, it's pretty late for me, but thanks so much for helping me with this! You do a ton for the community! :)

Hi again,

I am typing this from my installation of Yosemite, almost fully functional. I have two main problems.

1. USB is not working. previously froze on insertion, but now nothing is recognized.
2. Battery bar just shows 0%

Firstly, Whenever I plug in my Kingston 16Gb drive, it is not recognized. My Wi-Fi dongle is only sometimes recognized. I have GenericUSBXHCI installed, but it does not seem to be helping any. Clover is installed on the EFI partition. The laptop only has USB3 Ports.

Secondly, I installed ACPIBatteryManager by RehabMan, and it shows time remaining, but the percentage is always at 0%...

https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Generic-USB3 usually used with kernel flag -gux_defer_usb2.

Battery status: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks-laptop-support/116102-how-patch-dsdt-working-battery-status.html

I would not recommend v1.2.7 unless it has been built with the 10.10 SDK. Any version of GenericUSBXHCI.kext not specifically built for Yosemite is not compatible with Yosemite.

I built a version of the latest: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Generic-USB3
Sorry to bother but I have the abovementioned kext in the /System/Library/Extentions folder, ( /Extra/Extentions doesnt exit on the drive). I already removed the AppleACPIPlatform.kext as directed, but I'm still stuck on PCI configuration begin. I use Clover UEFI. I have tried booting with flag npci=0x2000. Please help. Here's a photo.

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"
