What are the System Requirement ????

Post #1 in this thread http://www.tonymacx86.com/apple-news-rumors/143655-os-x-yosemite-now-available-mac-app-store.html lists the requirements:

Necessary for Yosemite Update
To proceed with installation, you absolutely need the following.

  • Intel Core 2 or above, 64 bit CPU
  • A computer running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later
  • Mac App Store Account
  • Internet access to download the Yosemite Install App through Mac App Store
  • About 5GB free hard drive space available in /Applications

Thank you guys,

Sorry for my bad english. I'm a Brazilian guy and we don't have much education here. Hahahaha.

I tried 5 or 6 tutorials of Yosemite 10.10 and i had no luck...but i tried this one and....shazaaannn.
The one thing i had make different is do the installer in a partition of another hard disc, because "still waiting for root device" with USB pen drive 8Gb. So i restore then i a partition and boot for hard disc and yes, almost things are working like a charm, less the wake...but i fix it some time or not...maybe...

Used Unibeast and Multibeast.

Motherboard: Intel DG43GT
CPU: Quad-Core 2,4 GHz Q6600
GPU: GeForce 9600GT XFX

I use this specs since de Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Thanks one more time.

just update thanks Great work Tony

Works perfect on my system - Unibeast + Multibeast

Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-87MX-D3H
Cpu : i7 4770k
Video Card : Ati Radeon HD 5870

For the USB 2.0 problem delete GenericUSBXHCI.kext from /System/Library/Extension

Thank you for providing your good tip/hint which helped me to strange problem on my mouse ( Locked after booting Yosemite )".
After fighting for almost 2 days on "Try and Error , again and again, ...." , I really could solve it because of understanding that it cames from USB 2.0 Problem within Apple"s Yosemite code distribution".
PS) I know my building hacintosh is not easy (sometimes very tough), but this work bring me the very deep satisfaction when completed it.

Bum Thumb....A Cautionary Tale
Long story, short: I've wasted several hours trying to install Yosemite on a hackintosh (GA-H77N-WiFi, Intel core i3-3225 Ivy) via Unibeast 5.0.1 because of a dysfunctional USB drive (Corsair 8GB Flash Voyager USB 2.0 Flash Drive, btw). Unibeast boot USB created just fine. But subsequent Yosemite install commenced, and stalled after about 2 min, never reaching installer.
Finally, used another USB drive for Unibeast boot drive creation. This one worked fine.
So, beware of a bad USB drive if you're having problems installing Yosemite.
Finally, my hat's off to, and three bows in the general direction of, tonymacx86.com for their great website.

Here are my 2 cents:
1) Use USB 2.0 ports.
2) Let Multibeast create new org.chameleon.Boot (Dont re-use old one)
3) kext-dev-mode=1 <--if you need drivers/kext.

GA-H77N-WiFi. Everything working., Sleep/wake, sound, NIC.

Slow boot just like Mavericks (1minute) . Dont know why.

installed in my x58 build,success......
it was a chore, but not to bad...only sound not working...
asus board uses alc892

solved used multibeast 6.1.0 (just audio)
works great..

just did a backup now I'm golden
