Simple question. I have already made an install USB , but i ticked the 'laptop support' box because I was installing on a hp probook. Can I use this same install USB for installing mavericks on a desktop or do i need to make a new install USB just for the desktop computer (with 'laptop support check box left blank ). Thank you

It is always going to be better to have a desktop USB installer for a desktop - you can of course give it a try as you may be lucky with the laptop installer

Thanks Adrian. I made a desktop usb install of mavericks with Unibeast. The first stumbling I have hit is that as soon as I get to the install page (where it asks to select language) my mouse and keyboard will not work so I cant get any further. Any suggestions to get past this ??

I am using a cutomac build recommended here back in 2011 for a snow leopard build. Power build two on this page http://tonymacx86.blogspot.ie/2011/02/building-customac-three-updated-lga.html

Thanks for any help.

I used search and found the followinhg thread that should give some good information (note that this user has AMD GPU):
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...-motherboards-with-nvidia-geforce-210.113186/
Same board - general Mavericks install info:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/search/1503739/?q=GA-H55M-UD2H+mavericks&o=date

If you are having further issues, then post in Mavericks desktop support for further assistance:

Good luck:thumbup:

Thanks, I'm 99% there. Could I just ask one more question that is probably very noob. How do I boot with bootflags GrapicsEnabler=Yes and PCIROOTUID=1 as in step 6 of the first link.

I"ve got to the screen where my unibesat flash drive is selectable. I then use the the down arrow key and I see a bunch of options ; Boot , Boot Verbose etc....

Do i pick one of these options and then enter the commands? Thanks once again..

Type in At the boot screen. You must type in correctly, these flags are case sensitive and will not work if incorrect. The installation guide should have links for boot flags.
