I received this message when trying to create a legacy installer USB formatted as Master Boot Record. I take it that it will only work when the USB is formatted as GUID then? Either that or UniBeast has a bug? Not sure.

Update: I tried again, yet this time using GUID format instead of Master Boot Record, and it worked. It seems that there is some issue with trying to create a legacy installer USB that is formatted as Master Boot Record.

I'm still getting the "More than one minstallconfig.xml" error, while doing step 4.9. My only two drives attached are the ones in the Logical Volume Group. Is there a work around for this (maybe removing the minstallconfig.xml manually) or is the script not working with fusion drives?

The installer should be GPT.

I see. I noticed that the previous UniBeast versions would allow for legacy and Master Boot Record. I'm curious as to why it does not work/allow for High Sierra.

Unless there is a bug in your firmware that prevents using GPT it shouldn't pose a problem. Note the difference between the MBR itself used for bootcode and the related partition table type.

I believe some older computers that still pack a decent punch only allow for Master Boot Record booting devices. I'm just curious as to why the sudden change when the previous versions supported it. I wonder if staff can give some info on this.

Hi All,
I have a Sierra installation (clover legacy) on the first partition of an SSD, is it possible to install High sierra on a second partition on the same ssd?

GPT partitioned disks also have an MBR. They are seen by older computers as 'MBR devices' until software is loaded that can read the partition table.

Really? Very interesting. I thought GUID was a completely new structure from the ground up. Do you have a diagram or something of the sort or a link that would help in visual form? Again, thank you for the information.
