This actually started with Yosemite. I'll download the either and that goes well but when I run Unibeast on it and I get the dreaded: There was an error creating your UniBeast drive. Couldn't mount install ESD

I've downloaded Yosemite 30-40 times and it's never worked. The interesting part is that hdutils always fails but after the download is complete it starts to run. I know that Yosemite problems is off topic hear but I'm having the same problem with El Capitan. I'm currently running: Yosemite 10.10.3. I don't think that continuing to download and hope that at sometime I get lucky and get a good download.

How big is your USB drive? I think 16 GB is about the minimum needed.

I've been using 8GB thumbdrives but can easily try a 16GB one.

My 8's were to small. There were 7.4 or so when formatted. Switched to 16 gig drives, problems went away.

I tried a 16GB thumbdrive and it didn't help.
