I'm trying to install Mavericks 10.9.4 on a Gigabyte EP45DSR3 motherboard. Unibeast boots fine and there is the usual activity at the bottom of the screen with the large Apple in the middle. But after a while I get this display. Note that the screen does not freeze after this symbol shows up. What does it mean?

Thanks

I've always had this problem when trying to run the installer off a USB 3.0 port. Do you have any 2.0 ports?

Try booting in verbose mode "-v" and see where it stops loading.

Thanks for your reply. I eventually found out that at every reboot the motherboard bios reverted to its default settings. IDE was then selected instead of AHCI. After saving the correct settings I was able to install.

Thanks again.

Look for the AppleRTC fix option in MultiBeast. It prevents CMOS resets, which sounds like your issue.
