same problem

read the troubleshooting notes ...

and ooooohhhh "16. UniBeast will only write to an external drive with a partition of 32 GB or less. Larger drives will need to be partitioned."

I used a 64Gb usb drive !!!!

so i re-launched disk utility, partitionned my usb drive in 3 (20Gb / 20Gb / 20Gb), verified if the partition were GPT (because i selected UEFI), relaunched Unibeast, and... it worked

So please, guys, read the troubleshooting page !!!!

Hangs for me aswell, 8GB drive.

Went out and bought a second, diffrent thumbdrive, Kingston 16GB, now i am getting the Could not remove package bug.
I am on a Macbook Pro mid 2010 on El Capitan.

For problems with UniBeast you should post in the UniBeast forum :
http://www.tonymacx86.com/unibeast/

First read and follow the http://www.tonymacx86.com/unibeast/174272-unibeast-6-troubleshooting-notes.html

and if you still cannot resolve your problem then use the http://www.tonymacx86.com/unibeast/85364-unibeast-failure-reporting.html procedure.

:beachball: I was having this same problem so I ejected my flash drive, put it back in my PC and formatted it again. Put it back in my Mac and and erased it again. This time I made my file name all one word and all lowercase. Started the install and waited patiently. After a while the Apps folder popped up and then if looked like it was stuck again, but I waited it out and I was able to successfully install el capitan onto my bootable flash drive.

Nothing in the posted list is helping and the failure reporting post is closed. Does anyone know what's going on here? I'm having the same problem. Just "Copying Files" for hours and hours.

I am trying to install el Captain with the new clover!!! No offence to it but it sucks. I have double check everything and still get t his screen.

have anyone found a solution? same issue here

[EDIT] Solved! Just reboot the real Mac or Hackintosh (not use VMs), and use another port. For me, installation took about 40 minutes.

Try use lower case name for usb disk. I solved this problem by change usb disk name from "USB" to "usb"
