You more likely tried to run it again on a non-empty stick.

I've about decided that making a usb installer for Mavericks with Unibeast 301 is a gone case. Doesn't even
take 10 seconds to give a "failed" message. Even tried different usb sticks.

Don't really feel like troubleshooting all the esoteric hidden possibilities. Either works or it doesn't.

Did you bother to read http://www.tonymacx86.com/unibeast/102443-unibeast-troubleshooting-notes.html?

Or http://www.tonymacx86.com/unibeast/85364-unibeast-failure-reporting.html where you will see what the cause of the failure is by looking at the log file.

This may not be the solution for all of you, but following the above advice, I went to the Troubleshooting page and found my solution: 4. UniBeast will detect which purchased install applications you have in /Applications and will only allow for choosing one if you have multiple versions. You also need to choose Laptop Support or Legacy USB Support before choosing the appropriate OS version.

Once I moved the Mavericks.app (which is the what you get when you download the update prior to install) over to my Applications folder (...whatever-your-computer's-name-is/Applications) I was able to achieve success.

Keep in mind, it will take a little bit of time because the Unibeast scripts transfer over the Mavericks app, which is ~5GB, to your USB drive.
