There is no option in system settings > security to allow untrusted apps and the install update listed in the troubleshooting says I need OSX 10.6.

You will most likely need to update to 10.7.4 or 10.7.5 before running UniBeast 1.7.0.

I've used UniBeast 1.7.0 on 10.7.5 with no issues.
