RE:AGDPFix: This thread talks about issues using certain SMBIOS getting black screens:

It sounds like you were using imac17 but I see someone in this thread recommended (and you may have made the change) you move to imac14. If you're using imac14 you shouldn't (I think) need AGDPFix. But that's the thread that talks about the issue and resolutions.

Correct. Black screens is caused because iMac 17,1, iMac 15,1, Mac Pro 6,1 uses ATI cards instead of Nvidia so i recommend using iMac 14,2 to avoid black screens. iMac 14,1/14,2 doesn't require AGDP Fix.

what is "-v"? All my monitors are dark from the word go. I can't do anything!

Update: ok now the HDMI one is working smh.

-v is verbose mode. I always recommend booting with -v on install and post install, even when patching ACPI.

Where is this mysterious -v setting? I can't find it anywhere in the clover boot manager.

At Clover, Options, Boot args type -v Boot attach screenshot. Check if you have nvda_disable=1 under boot args also.

Boot with -v attach screenshot when it hangs.
