Motherboard
MSI X99A-GAMING-PRO-CARBON
CPU
i7-6900K
Graphics
GTX 1080

  1. MacBook Pro

I have USB made with the latest version of UniBeast.
GUI boots with Apple's logo and then it turns to a stop sign.
When I enable verbose output (text mode), I see
Code:
Error allocating 0x#### pages at 0x####alloc type 2

I've tried changing to OsxAptioFix2Drv-2000 - the screen will end with a large number of dots or # and stay at it.

I am not sure how to move forward/what to try next.

Stop vs Prohib.png

It is not a Stop sign - It is what Apple refer to as the prohibitory symbol.

Use AptioMemoryFix.efi possibly with AptioInputFix-64.efi too.
make sure that you remove any OsxAptioFixDrv, OsxAptioFix2Drv, OsxAptioFix3Drv or OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.

Thank you!
I used AptioMemoryFix.efi and AptioInputFix.efi from here: https://github.com/acidanthera/AptioFixPkg/
(I could not find them anywhere else).

AMF: No slide values are usable! Falling back to 128 with 0x16####
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

After the long list of + signs nothing else happens. I will try adding slide=0 to the boot arguments next.

I've read in another post that the long list of ++++ can be remedied with HFSPlus.efi
I've replaced vboxhfs with hfsplus but I got the same result.

Also, if I boot with slide=128 I no longer get "AMF: No slide values are usable! Falling back to 128 with 0x16####"

Is there any place that I can look to see what is causing the freeze at +++++?

Previously most X99 builds used OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi and there is no reason why it shouldn't still work despite the current recommendation being for AptioMemoryFix.efi.

Other users have been successful with the same motherboard - The forum Search tool may help.
