Hi there,

I have been reading through the forums for the past couple of days and have been attempting to install mavericks on my new build. The MOBO is an ASUS Sabertooth z86 with an intel i7-4770k processor.

The MOBO does not have any extra PCI cards (including graphics) installed and only one 8GB stick RAM, there is also only one hard drive connected whilst I have been trying to do an install.

I have updated the BIOS and reset to default settings and I am using the onboard graphics through a monitor connected with an HDMI connection.

I got a Unibeast USB sorted and eventually I got to mavericks install window but only when I added the flag "PCIRootUID=1". at startup.

So now I can get to the bootloader (only with the unibeast usb inserted) with the two options of unibeast or mavericks drive, I have tried various flags but when I click on the mavericks drive it thinks about it for a while and then I get a black screen. I am led to believe that if this happens then it is likely to be a graphics issue?

I am able to get in to the setup again via the Unibeast and reinstall but with the same results as before.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. For clarification I have read through the following articles:
