Hey all. I just got a shiny new Samsung S34E790C.

The monitor goes straight to power-save when I should be at the Yosemite login screen.
It doesn't seem to be detected by OSX.
Is displayport not initializing properly?
Clover loads fine and verbose mode doesn't seem to hang on anything.
If I plug in a 1440p monitor, it loads fine (ie. OSX has loaded properly and is chillin)

The monitor works fine when I boot my windows drive which is not UEFI (OSX is).

Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI
EVGA GTX 780
Clover
Displayport
Yosemite 10.10.2

Anyone experiencing the same thing? Any help is appreciated, and thanks.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on your Samsung monitor, but I have a LG 34um95 with the same resolution and similar ports.

I had problems when I tried to quit the monitor energy save state of the monitor. Those steps fixed my problem:

- use the latest FakeSMC.kext & HWSensors from MultiBeast 7.2
- use latest NVidia Web driver
- set your displayport to DP 1.1 (not DP 1.2) as DP 1.2 is not necessary for your resolution@60Hz.

Hope that helps!
