for the life of me I cannot get HDMI port to work in open core on Catalina 10.15.7. I've tried everything. in the screenshot you can see HDMI port is getting power. I don't know how to change downstream port from "0" since 0 is associated with stream port. if one of the big guns can help me out id really appreciate it. @jaymonkey @Feartech @headkaze

MacBookPro15,2 maybe a better choice
 
@Feartech which renames are not correct? where can I correctly find them for open core?


also, is there a way to inject edid info into Framebuffer I'm using for HDMI? I see in the log there is no edid for the Framebuffer I'm using for HDMI.

I've done all the renames correctly. still no HDMI. where should I start?

you could try adding all the info for framebuffer-con1-alldata:
01050A00 00080000 87010000 02040A00 00080000 87010000 FF000000 01000000 20000000
or:
01050A00 00080000 87010000 03060A00 00040000 87010000 FF000000 01000000 20000000

also replace device-id to 16590000

also change AAPL,ig-platform-id to 00001B59

@Feartech !!!!!!!!!! Mark this thread Solved Bro. you always come thru for me. Now my hack is 100 percent in OpenCore!!!!! would've thanked you earlier, but once I changed smbios, wifi and bluetooth started acting up. now this hack is 100 percent. Guide and GitHub coming soon, thanks to you. this was really the missing piece bro. thank you:thumbup:
