I got my hackintosh working pretty well so far and am also looking forward to writing a user build thread for it, anyhow id like to be able to fix this remaining problem:
I'm unable to get chimera running. After choosing the partition at start up, i get to the apple load screen, but nothing happens. It keeps loading forever. A quick overview of my system:
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K unlocked
MB: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H
Graphics: GTX 570
RAM:Kinston HyperX DDR3-1600 2 * 4 GB
To get this system working, the only thing i had to do was use uni beast with the boot flag "PCIRootUID=0". After that, basically everything worked right away, absolutely no kexts required. Currently i have to boot from my usb stick with that boot flag.
Im sure this is a minor problem, anyhow i'd like to avoid experimenting on this, since every fail requires a reinstall of the os, and i'm hoping someone else has already found a solution for this.
