Has anyone been able to install Yosemite on a Thinkserver TS140?

Or must one use Mavericks? Thanks! Details please!

Yes, it does.
I got TS140 i3 4130, 20GB Crucial Ballistic RAM

Successfully installed Yosemite using clover and updated to latest version.

- LAN = working - use Apple1000Intel
- Video = working - default installation picks up the HD4400
(I am using the Nvidia 8500GT PCI-E board for more smooth opearation)
- Audio = working - Voodoo_v273
- Appstore =working

I followed the Clover Installation guide provided by Tonymac in this forum.

The only trouble I have with clover is that it don'ts boot if I don't have the USB Key plugged into the PC.

Let me know how it goes for you.

Just minutes before your note, I finally got Mavericks 10.9.4 working. I worked backwards from Yosemite as someone had posted that they had gotten 9.4 working - and I could never get internet to work.:banghead:

You are totally correct about the internet kext: I had to use appleintele1000.kext, not IONetworkingFamilyInjector.kext, as is posted elsewhere (then it worked)

I will try Yosemite again....

You did install clover onto the boot drive also, didn't you? That's one reason you might be dependent on the USB stick.

Yosemite is only OS I have used so far
and it's been working great.

Let me me know if you are using the HD 4400 Foi and how it works. Mine was very slow
and after replacing with Nvidia it's very smooth.

Yes, I did install Clover to hard drive.
however, when booting without USB Flash
Drive it gives an error about No OS installed.

Later tonight I'll post some more info so you can
take a look what I am doing wrong.

For enabling the HD4400, you may have to inject the ig-platform id too, have a look into the guide : http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/...lags-igpenabler-igplatformid-igpdeviceid.html

How you installed the CLOVER and with which options?

Which boot mode you are using (UEFI/Legacy) ??

Try this guide for HD4400 : http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/...ics-fix-full-support-alternate-cpus-os-x.html

I only remember following the Clover installation guide from this fortum. http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html)

I see UEFI during Clover boot.
Please see attached two files. Hope they can help.

The system has been running very stable therefore I haven't made any attempt to fix things.

Hi sp9239, were you able to get sound via HDMI working? I have yet to try sleep and hibernate but I assume I am going to need a dsdt file for that, something that I suspect I would have to spend a lot of time reading up on, re editing.

From where you got this config.plist ??

Is everything working fine with this ??

I got the config.plist from the USB that it boots from.
Currently, everything is working fine.
However, I am trying to make it so it would boot from the HDD instead of USB Flash Drive.

I have to yet follow some guide on how to properly install clover.

Do you know if my HDD partitions look OK for Clover?

Thanks!

I have not tested HDMI sound out.
The sound I have working it's through AUDIO out Jack.

Also, TS140 is a server that I am using as a desktop PC. Therefore, it's sleep function is not available in BIOS to begin with.

So, no hibernate or no sleep.
