Trying to upgrade graphics card

Hi guys ,

The rig is
MB: Z68xp-UD3
i7-2600K
16 GB Corasair Vengeance
(untill now GTx 550)


Recently bought a GTX 760 so i could upgrade to Mavericks but i still stay in Lion due to the Drivers for audio hardware that i have are only updated up to lion.

Id like to be able to dual boot into lion and mavericks with out having to switch from the GTX 550 to the 760.

I can boot into safe mode -x with the 760 but i don't think im re-patching my DSDT correctly.
Do i need new drivers ? a fresh install or a proper DSDT Patch.

The onboard audio should work in Mavericks if you ran Multibeast correctly. Try non-DSDT (in my experience granular control over settings works best so you have insights if something goes wrong) with other correct options and rerun.
In my experience changing video cards in Mavericks within the same brand or going from ATI to Nvidia (I have not done the reverse) has been no problem. In the very machine on which this is being typed I changed to an Nvidia card, which on the Window side required first deleting ATI drivers, and simply booted the machine into Mavericks and it worked. Maybe it isn't supposed to but it did.

Thanks for the advice man. But i have Mavericks running fine with the graphic card upgrade, I'm trying to make the new GPU work with my Lion partition also since i use it for music production.

I was really asking if anyone knew how to get a GTX 760 to work in OSX 10.7.4 , sorry if i wasn't that clear in OP
