Trying to update from Mavericks. Few issues

I am unable to get it to boot properly. First when booting from the USB created with Unibeast 5.0.1 i got a kernal panic. Then I tried to reboot from the usb it tells me fant find mach_kernal

any ideas? Unibeast took forever to work. Then this. I am still able to log into Mavericks.

when you reboot go to your boot options, don't use chimera.

it refuses to boot from the USB itself. even when i select it hitting F12.

Is it the USB itself?

Okay now i got to the set up but when i choose a language the computer freezes up.

Yea, it is freezing as soon as it starts to write the files.

just hangs and locks the entire system up

any ideas?

do i need to update my bios?

Poor picture but looks like it may be a deadbeef error.

If it is, reduce to one DIMM of RAM for the install.

Boot with -v maxmem=4096 if you then have 8GB

Boot with -v maxmem=2048 if you then have 4GB

Note - If you persistently get deadbeef errors after this, power off completely then do it again.
