Lenovo Y50 with Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) on it freezes at logo screen comes after boot

Thread moved from Desktop Support

I am trying to install OS X Yosemite on my Lenovo Y50, which I heard should be compatible enough to run OS X. I did all of the tonymacx86 stuff so I don't know why it isn't working.
I booted from a USB that had bootable Yosemite and Multibeast on it and I booted into the Chimera bootloader and that went fine. Once I pressed enter to boot into Mac OS X Yosemite though, it went black for a little bit, flashed the Mac loading screen, went black again for a little bit, the Lenovo logo screen came up, and then it turned into a black screen and stayed that way. Why isn't it working? What can I do to get it to boot into Yosemite right?

Please provide complete details in your profile.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.
