Hello,

I have Windows and Linux in separated drives and wanted to boot them from Clover. When I Clover shows up, I see many options to choose from, but none of them actually boot the operating systems, instead they show the logo and get stuck there.

How can I set up to boot from Linux and Windows correctly?

Thanks.

Legacy boot is not supported, install Windows/Linux for EFI booting instead.

Hi, thank you for your reply.

Can you expand on that a little bit or give some resource for me to check?

The problem is mentioned here and here - you could try the different options for legacy boot, one might work for your system.

As well the good solution in using Chameleon which boots Windows XP very well.

- install boot1f32alt bootsector which wait 2sec for key press.

- install boot as Clover and boot1 as Chameleon.

- press "1" during boot to switch to Chameleon and boot WindowsXP from him.

If you have an EFI firmware i'd consider reinstalling the OS's for native boot.

Clover installed for legacy booting on legacy hardware can start Windows/Linux via its EFI implementation, but then you'd have to use Clover to start these like macOS.
