Build
  • CPU: Intel i7 6700k Skylake Quad Core LGA 1151
  • Motherboard: MSI Gaming Intel Z170A Chipset, Atx
  • PSU: Corsair 750w
  • HD: WD Black 4TB 7200
  • SDD: Intel 480GB
  • Memory: 32 GB RipJaws (4x8GB) 288 pin DDR4

I've already inserted a bunch of patches mentioned in Tony Mac threads about Skylake and Z170s. I'm hoping someone can look at my screen when I boot in Verbose and tell me what's going wrong/what I still need to patch.

Did you disable the Serial Port in BIOS?

What MSI Z170A board are you using?

Does it boot okay with just one RAM stick installed? (I've read on some forums that some MSI boards have RAM slot problems - same with ASUS 170 boards and Corsair RAM). Verify each RAM stick works in the first slot. Use a wrist strap after powering off the PC, pulling the power cord and depressing the Power On button until the green LED on the mobo goes out.

Then add a second stick, and lastly the last two sticks (to make sure you don't have dead mem slots).

Do you have a video card installed? Do you have built-in video ports available? If so, remove the video card and see if it boots fine.
