Hi all,
I have a working OS X 10.8.2 Probook 4430s. The default WLAN card worked OK in Linux and Windows, but not OS X. It was a Realtek RTK RTL8188CE. I replaced it with ATHEROS AR5B195 but it failed the Probook whitelist check and was disabled by the BIOS.

Can anyone suggest a known/working wifi card? If it is also bluetooth that is a big bonus.

Thanks in advance.

AR5B195 is the right card but to overcome whitelist need one specifically for Probook 4x30S series. It's usually listed on ebay under part numbers 592775-001 or 593127-001
Even with the AR5B195 card you have right now it should work if you used Probook Installer which places Fanreset.dylib in /Extra/modules folder to re-enable disabled WiFi cards.

A russian vendor has compiled a list.

If you don't read Russian, save the page to disk then run it through Google translator.

Or use the spreadsheet I made from it. No warranty whatsoever -- this is hackintosh world. :D

For some cards differently limited firmware versions exist, so you might want to confirm with your supplier that it works with HP.
