Triple or Quad Monitor Setup possible?

Hi Folks,

First post here, but read a lot! This place is *the* reason I had parts to fully functional hackintosh in under 3 hours. Fabulous resource.

I'd like to run a 3 or 4 monitor setup ... Here's my current build:

core i5 750 @ 3.0ghz
4gb g.skill ddr @ 1600 mhz
ga-p55m-ud2
evga geforce 9500 GT w two DVI out

the rest is probably irrelevant.

The ga-p55m-ud2 has two PCI-e slots (one at full x16 the other at x8 max?) ... i realize it doesn't support SLI ... but i wonder if i can throw in another 9500 GT and drive two other monitors with it? If not can I buy an older PCI video card and drive a monitor or two that way?

Both slots are x8 max when both are in use, otherwise the top slot is x16 and the second is disabled.

So from what i read it looks like I can just pop in another 9500 GT and connect up a couple more monitors without having to really do anything?

Not quite, you need to add a second entry in your DSDT the way I read it. You make want to ask Jocelyn about it though.
