I just purchased a TP-Link WDN4800 since I was having some problems with my TP-Link WN951N and it's supposed to work OOB. The problem is that it's not detected by macOS High Sierra, with it saying Wi-Fi: No hardware installed. The thing is, DPCIManager picks it up fine and I've tried using native IO80211Family kexts I had backed (but if you have a clean 10.13 version, it would be great if I could test it out).

Also, I know it's not a hardware issue because I've tested the new card on both Windows 10 AND a fresh install of High Sierra. It seems like it fails to work on my upgraded-from-El-Capitan-now-High-Sierra machine. Is there any known issue regarding this?

I got it working. I have a dual cpu system with two PCI buses. I switched the card to another slot and it started working right away (10.13.5).
