I know this is an old thread, but I just stumbled on this myself. To fix you can just use the manual installation command with the right route:

sudo curl -o /usr/local/bin/gen_debug https://raw.githubusercontent.com/black-dragon74/OSX-Debug/master/gen_debug.sh && sudo chmod a+x /usr/local/bin/gen_debug

Works perfectly.

When you run the script it tells you; It creates a folder on your desktop.

Hello everyone,
I have MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 (19E287) installed on my Asus Zenbook UX310UQ. I want to generate a report of my system, because I have an error (wake from sleep black screen)

Download install_tools.sh script and I had to update the path from gen_debug to /usr/local/bin/ (Error: "cp: /usr/bin/gen_debug: Operation not permitted")

But now I have this error
