This is a question for zipb...

I see that you use the integrated graphics. I have followed the guides to the letter and my machine just boots to a black screen with a flashing cursor. The monitor is connected via hdmi.

What trick did you use to do the installation?

Not in my profile... memory is ballistix sport 32gb. I've tried reducing the memory without luck.

You know what.. Even legit Mac's have problems with not recognizing some Thunderbolt peripherals. It's no surprise that some of us are having issues. I have a MacBook Pro which wouldn't work with a Thunderbolt sound card, until I rolled back the firmware to an earlier version. I was scratching my head for a week or so.
It might be worth snooping around the Mac forums to see if there is any info knocking around there.

Hi, Tony

I know it should be working T3 in my board. GA Z170 gaming7.

I did all your steps in windows and bio settings. But I can't still see my T3 working.

I bought a USB3.1 supported HDD dock system. It connects USB3.1 typeA and C cables.

Both not working. In Windows, both cable connected are recognized I can see HDD from docking system.

If T3 working in Mac, It will show me something in Thunderbolt section in system report?

Or only stretch device needed?

I don't know how to diagnose it.

Please help me.

Thank you!!

On my GA Z170 Gaming 7, MacOS El Capitan says "Thunderbolt: No drivers loaded" in System report, even though I have a Thunderbolt 2 device connected and working. Devices must be plugged in before booting. Hot plug doesn't work. I guess this might work better in Sierra? Or maybe adding device properties to the Thunderbolt devices might make it work better, similar to the device-properties used by the new MacBook Pro 2016:

Try looking in some other threads for suggestions, such as this one:

My USB3 ports are still very, very slow. There's gotta be a reason. I have already reinstalled two times, but the ports remain so slow.

Can somebody help me, please?

Update your profile with your Mobo, CPU, Graphics, etc information.
List the following info:
1) what devices you're using
2) what app you're using to measure the speed
3) what you are measuring
4) what speed you're getting
5) what speed you expect to get
6) add a screenshot of the measurement
7) add an ioreg file from IORegistryExplorer.app

Make sure in the BIOS your Thunderbolt security settings are either "No Security" or "Legacy Mode". Also, hotplugging anything, even USB-C, will not work or may only work once per boot. Have what you need connected at startup.

o ok good to know it has to be on boot up. I didn't try having it plugged in during boot and I did change it to legacy. If I have a adapter or extension plugged in and leave it will it then work without boot or maybe not?

I think you are asking if you just leave it in all the time will it work? I think it should. I don't use a lot of thunderbolt peripherals right now (turns out having everything built into a hackintosh got rid of my need for a dock) so can't answer this long term, but far as I can tell it should work.
