Timemachine Question

Noob Question: my hack is up and running on 10.8.2 but now I want to get back to work. So if restore from my timemachine backup from my iMac (10.8.2) will that disrupt the hacks? Will I need to re do multibeast etc:

Just hoping its ok to push the button.

You can use Migration Assistant to restore from a Time Machine disk. After selecting the source for the migration, a window comes up where you select which bits to migrate. Certainly you can migrate just the user(s) and that works fine. You can also migrate network settings, and Applications. I did this yesterday on a new box (migrating from a Mac mini). However, I may be confused but I think it may have blown away a few things like HWMonitor doing that: I had to re-install that using MultiBeast.

It can fail during the migration otherwise.
