OK, been a little busy but I finally got around to installing 10.9 over the 10.8 install. Everything went splendid and this morning I decided to run Time machine, which I had setup and running under 10.8. The strange thing was Time machine was acting like this was the first time it was running. This should not be the case.
I have an external disk with a Mac OS X Journalized partition that I have been using explicitly for Time Machine backups. It is the only external partition Time Machine can use. Right now it is doing a full backup because it thinks it is the first time it has run.
I've looked at this external partition before and there were backups in it, but this morning there were not. The only one presently is the one it is creating right now. While I consider this observation to be 'unexpected', I'd like to know what other people have observed.
