Hey guys,

I bought this hoping I could get Thunderbolt access on my PC:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J1EQDV6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This was the only Thunderbolt PCI card I could find on the market.

I installed this, and both in OSX and Windows 8 it's not mounting anything. I wasn't sure if there was a kext or bios setting that needed to be activated. When I bought my FW800 PCI card it was plug in play on the Hackintosh in OSX.

Does anyone have any advice to troubleshoot this?

If you read the description of this card, it only works on select HP workstations. Unless you have an HP workstation, it isn't going to work (the motherboard has to have a special header to attach a cable to). There is, I believe, only one other Thunderbolt card on the market currently -- same deal, it's made by Asus and only works with select Asus motherboards.

Thank you for the info. That's a bummer because I have a gigabyte motherboard. Oh well....
