I have a new x299 10g designare build, running 11.5.1

Thunderbolt is my big issue.

about every 20 reboots with various tricks (unplugging tb and plugging in at splash screen), unplugging and booting, then plugging in and rebooting) randomly, it works.

but one out of 20 is unacceptable for my use.

the devices are always present in the system information page under Thunderbolt/USB4, but are not showing up on the desktop, or in disk utility.

any ideas?

Okay I don't have a X299 system, but I did this with a Asus Prime A Z270 before. Look at the method of Thunderbolt activation I mentioned here using Windows > https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...-samsung-960-evo-nvme-thunderbolt-ex3.240368/

It seems you will need a copy of SSDT-X299A-TB3HP.aml and will need to activate the Thunderbolt functionality in Windows for it to fully work.
