Thunderbolt connection requires reboot

Hi All,
I have a GA-Z77X-UP5 TH and an UA Apollo Thunderbolt audio interface.

Each time I boot up the the UA Apollo is connected but the system won't play audio. Files just won't start playing in QT player for example. The timeline marker just stays stuck at the beginning and doesn't move. This is the same across the board for any audio application.

The only troubleshooting I can think of was to set Thunderbolt Wake from Enabled to Disabled but it made no difference.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

I just tweeted to UA to ask them. It may be a non-hackintosh issue.

I just got this back from UA via twitter:
@felixbird try reinstalling UAD Software with Apollo powered off. Once it's installed, power on again and see if this fixes things.
