Dear friends, I'm building my first Hackintosh based on Intel i7-6700 processor.

I want to choose the best motherboard in the budget of $250, maybe less, maybe more.

As I already have Apple Thunderbolt Display for my Mac Pro, I'm interested in using it with my new build.

I saw several Gigabyte motherboards with TB port and also there are Motherboards with "Thunderbolt header" port for PCI-e cards.
Are there compatibility with hackintosh in TB-integrated motherboards or better to choose Motherboard with header and buy PCI-e card?

If you want to use the Thunderbolt display with something other than integrated graphics, you will probably need a board that uses an add in card. There are only a few motherboards with built in Thunderbolt that also have a displayport input that outputs via thunderbolt.

This Gigabyte board has the displayport input that outputs via thunderbolt.
