This thread got me curious and I wanted to see if my 9900K can do 5.2GHz. To my surprise, it could!

nice scores pastry! similar here.

uncore 43 locked and so did auto. Leaving it at auto and taking the multiplier down to 49 works fine. Something about that last 100mhz :/

Nudoru below I've attached my bios settings, scores, and speeds. If anyone has any comments or tips they are also appreciated.

how's the VII treating u?

For some reason, the Radeon VII caused my Z370G system to freeze when trying to wake from sleep. Other than that, the Radeon VII is awesome. Due to the wake issue, I had to switch to the Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming motherboard. Now sleep/wake works but I'm still ironing out other Z390 issues...

That being said, the VRM of the Z390 M is much better than the VRM on the Z370G. Still, if wake worked correctly with the Radeon VII, I would switch back the Z370G in a second due to how extremely well it runs macOS.

I'm thinking about getting the VII and liquid cooling it soon, as I'm liquid cooling my 9900k next week anyway. Hopefully won't run into the same z390 issues.

I believe with your board u could go higher than 5.2 btw, the VRM setup is extremely better than the XI hero board i have. Especially being able to achieve 5.2 at 1.35 vcore. I require 1.39 vcore at 7LLC (max 8 on my board) for a stable 5.2 all core, and 1.40 for 6 core 5.3/all core 5.2 0 AVX. could you try 5.3 at 1.4-1.415 vcore and let me know the results. This will let me know if it's my vrms or not.
