Interesting fact: I went to my BIOS, switched off hybrid graphics and switched to dedicated graphics (NVIDIA). the resolution isn't good, but its finally filling up my whole screen, and the speed seems to be a lot better. my about my mac says its an unknown graphics card with 0 memory, but it sure doesn't feel that way

Tried all of these, and still doesn't solve the issue. going to keep looking for more to try

What is the issue? Please describe it in detail.. and provide necessary troubleshooting data.

Attach ioreg as ZIP: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

Provide output (in Terminal):
Code:
kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu
kextstat|grep -y applelpc
kextstat|grep -y applehda

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (press F4 at main Clover screen before collecting). Please eliminate 'themes' directory. Provide only EFI/Clover, not the entire EFI folder.

Attach output of (in Terminal):
Code:
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Compress all files as ZIP. Do not use external links. Attach all files using site attachments only.

If i use the FakeID you suggested, if I use the original Platform ID i was using nothing changes. if i try different platform ID's, this screen comes up during loading (i keep verbose on). I tried the first list of Platform ID's, but i haven't tried the full second list.

just to try it out, i disabled NV-disable, and have injected NVIDIA graphics. my graphics are much snappier, and i am able to use the entire laptop screen (INTEL Graphics cut out at the bottom). I am limited to 1024 x 768 resolution though, and About My Mac has my graphics card listed as "Display" with 3MB. I think if i stick the right NVIDIA Fake ID in, similar to my processor, this will start working.

I was able to install the NVIDIA Web driver, but whenever i try to switch to it - and it asks to restart - it restarts back on the Mac driver.

here you go. unfortunately, i think the battery stuff is beyond my skill level. i spent literally all Saturday and Sunday trying it with no success

Your ioreg shows no Intel P530 graphics device. Disabled in BIOS or simply not enabled by the OEM?

Attach output of 'lspci -nn' in Linux Terminal.

I disabled the INTEL chip in my BIOS and have selected discrete graphics (NVidia) because the performance seems to be better. the issue i am having is periodic flickering, low resolution, and the about my mac not recognizing the card. i have a feeling if i get the right NVIDIA fakeID in there, along with a KEXT or something that can help the computer recognize the card, it should work better.

The intel card, when activated, doesn't fully power my entire screen (a 10% sliver n the bottom of the screen stays blank).

If you disabled the Intel P530, you have now invalidated your profile and most everything in this thread. Please fix your profile, and open a separate thread.

I don't have any Nvidia hardware, therefore very little details on it. But there are two Nvidia driver sets available to OS X, one provided by Apple (remove nv_disable=1 to attempt to use), and another provided by Nvidia on their website (download, install and use nvda_drv=1). You will also need to use an SMBIOS enabled for Nvidia.

The "Lenovo X220" patch appears to be a match for your DSDT.

BTW, you should remove SSDT-ACPIBATT.aml and SSDT-HACK.aml from ACPI/patched. These files are not loading anyway (thankfully), and are unlikely to help.
