makspaints - please provide a complete description of the problem, OS X version, BIOS version, GPU(s), memory, drives, dual boot, etc.

There are not many running SR2 systems and that maybe the reason that no one is responding.

    Good modding,
    neil

Hello neilhart , thank you for replying . I was trying to boot from sonnet tempo ssd PCI-E card but my BIOS didnt see it , altho when i boot up to osx 10.8.5 i can see the card ant the drive . I can also install OSX directly on to it , guy at the costumer service was not in any help since he has no idea about what his product is and how to get it working AT ALL :( he said it works fine on Gigabite boards. So ill just return it to B&H , i got rocket raid instead and it works like a charm , got two 500 840 evos in raid 0 and getting 790 wright and 920 read , with 10hz oc on pci lane i can get 820 wright and 950 read but for some reason i loose USB3.0 completely :(

Are the old X56xx-CPUs still able to compete with more modern solutions? Because the SR-2 seems to still be pretty expensive (400€+ on Ebay) and for that money you in theory could buy a modern Hexacore with a board. Or are the cores six extra cores for certain tasks still so much better then a said CPU?

The 56xx cpus still compete with the new CPU´s, you can buy used 5650´s on ebay for around 100 dollars now and overclock them to 3.8-4.2 GHz with a SR-2 board.

    Rockey,

Anyone interested in what I'm currently using, it's 10.8.5. Using anything above that, like Mavericks isn't too successful with the SR-2 setup from what I've been told. Thank you...

    Hello PunkNugget,

i've managed to get 10.11.5 running well. With Generate P and C-States also DropOEM ssdt.
Sound works with CodecCommander and Kext.
Graphiccard is GTX 980 4GB - AGPFix on 6.1 but im running 5.1 with deleted Kext for the Triple-Channel-Memory.

But. My 2x X5680s are just running x12/x25 mode, so i don't think my turbo is running. I got 28.000 in Multicore Geekbench in 64Bit mode, and just 2000 in Singlecore. When i use NullCPU i got 2800/2900 with Singlecore.

When i boot it is sometimes Turboratios: 111122 so i think nothing happens.

I dont have a DSDT or SSDT.
i tried Pikers script for SSDT but just Kernelpanics.

I am running Bios A58, do you have the patches for that Bios?

Would be awesome if you could help me.
You can text me here or where you prefer.

    Edin
